Newspaper as a material is easily available, also versatile things can be crafted out of it. Weave basket by using old newspapers which is available at your homes and decorate beautiful houses by recycling things easily available to you. Basket as a flower pot looks stunning in home decoration as it gives more rick look and adds on beauty to ambiance. learn how to make beautiful baskets out of old newspapers with easy and simple steps.

Material Required:

* Newspapers * Glue * Scissors * Acrylic paints

How to weave basket step by step:


  1. Roll out paper sticks and form a circle of 10cm diameter.
  2. Cut out similar size circle from sheet of paper.
  3. Roll 17 newspaper sticks of 20cm length.
  4. Paste those sticks within a circle to form shape given below.

  5. Now apply Glue at the center of the circle as well as on the sticks.
  6. Paste 1st circle on top of the other.
  7. Bend all sticks inward.
  8. Take another paper stick to weave basket.
  9. Start weaving by skiping one stick and picking another. Repeat same steps until you achieve desire depth.




  10. Once you are done with weaving basket, cut extra stick remains and fold and paste them inward.



  11. Paint the basket in desire color.
